Pro-Tibetan protests have occurred in record numbers across the world showing the Chinese Authority that they may be able to kill and suppress inside Tibet, but the people of the world are speaking ... Protesters in Boston, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Germany, Italy, Mysore, New Delhi, Chennai, Buffalo, Chile, Vienna, Israel, Denmark, Lithuania, Norway, Chicago, Bangkok, Seoul, New York, Sydney, London, San Francisco, Minnesota, Barcelona, Munich, Belgium, Taiwan, Paris, and even a vigil was held in Beijing. Unprecedented numbers of peace marchers, hunger strikes, vigils and protests in front of Chinese Embassies worldwide is surely not what the Communist Chinese Government had intended when they made the decision to 'crackdown' on Tibetans. One report even states that Tibetan protesters were gunned down in broad daylight in the streets of Lhasa. The Israeli parliament held a discussion about "the Genocide in Tibet".

Maybe the world is asking China to have compassion if they want to have their 'precious' Olympic Games if you read in between the lines. Several top athletes have already threatened to boycott the games and Beijing can't even promise clean air for them! I hope for a quick end to the utter stupidity and arrogance of the Chinese Authority in regards to the complete brutalization of any sense of the term 'human rights' amidst this 'crackdown' on autonomy ...

aloha my fiery friends !!! well well, the time has come once again to come together as a family here; in the wonderful hawaiin island chain . getting into the burningman fire conclave is no easy task . with the growing number of fire artists springing up each year, the requirements to be excepted into the great circle are tighter then ever . for the last two years, i have been accepted into the circle being involved with the wonderful troupe " illumination" , which i regret to inform, will not be submitting an audition video this year to crimson rose ( burningman ). things have changed here as they always do. people change, people grow, and it is time for new seeds to be planted. i want nothing more than to feel the honor and accomplishment of being involved with the biggest fire show on earth . in order to do that; alot of work and dedication is needed . this letter is a calling out to every fire artist ,fire safety, drummers and photo/cinematographers who are dedicated to bringing our beautifull fire art back into the great circle this year . "illumination" my be gone for now, but the wonderfull people that made that group, are mostly still here . the main point of this letter is to inform everyone that we can still be in the circle if we pull together and work hard as we have always done before . anyone out there interested in making this happen with me, please contact me asap! either through this tribe , saftey3rd tribe, my email (hippy420@excite.com) or by phone: (808) 778-1246 . i believe that by march 1st, all of the names of people trying out for the conclave need to be submitted . i am going to be spending the next month contacting as many of you as possible myself, but i dont have everyones names/numbers/email addresses . remember, we have to impress the higher ups of burningman to accept us with an impressive audition video. either way, i love you all, and have faith in every single one of us that we will give this our best efforts and have fun growing closer as we build our new conclave !!! much respect to you all !!! i will be posting alot of updates and info this month, please be looking!

BTW, while walking across the middle of the playa at BM early Sunday morning, I came across this art car dressed up to look like a Japanese boat with a set of decks and a decent sound system with some Japanese kids rocking to some really sick dark psy. If anyone knows them, tell them thank you. They really made my morning...

i'm stephen (aka dj qog) from new orleans, LA. I own Dharmaharmony Records (blah blah blah).
I'm searching for 2 things: possible hospitality during a portion of our visit and possibly set up meetings with any of the local artists and dj's who would like to be affiliated and/or release material w/ dharmaharmony.
as for the label, we're past the infant stage and toddling now. we plan 3-4 releases for 2008. the website is complete minus a little content and some graphic adjustments.
The visit will be around the first week of december 2007.

We came on this site to find an airbrush space 4 a BIG uknow kine mermaid truck, Escamo Candy Seafood Market and Cafe's newest truck is a lobster opening door, displayed on Kihei Rd., meanwhlie I broke out the a.b. on Valintines Day and painted our car. Psyboriginal is Marc Freund from Sydney, Australia Since 2004, his live sets have focused on spawning an environment conducive for explosive, energetic, and sometimes unpredictable trancefloor reverberations. The Psybo-sound depicts that indescribable moment between night and day- ethereal and uplifting to bring in the morning, yet mysterious and menacing enough to wreck nocturnal havoc. Marc's versitility as an artist is further evident in the incorporation of guitar and vocals in a few of his tracks. The Psyboriginal sound is one that is constantly changing and evolving; during his time in Belgium in 2004, Marc became decidely influenced by morning psytrance. However, upon returning to his native Australia, things took a trip to the dark(er) side, as his music adapted both a harder, more sinister edge as well as greatly increasing in overall doofability. The present end result- a unique style that weaves together all the right elements, fabricating a perfect groove guaranteed to ignite any legion of doofers with positive vibes. I was thinking Mexico, but I don't know what's going on there in Feb.

So this is on my research rada, all multiday, outdoor festivalsr:

Ankasha: (Australia): February

Given winter, all the full throttle outdoor events are equatorial/s.hemi. Anybody got contacts for Mexico? Otherwise it looks like Australia in February.

Hey y'all... just wondering if anyone can help me out/point me in the right direction... i'm taking a canadian winter break and spending the new year in oahu.... just wondering what's going on... i already know about HEMF, Glitch Mob on Big Island (sick!!!), and Fort Knox Five (sick!!!!) in Honalulu... is anything else going on during the christmas season... my likes would include fat fat breakbeats, hip hop, jungle, ahh, well really anything that is fat, bassy, and makes you dance... just looking for anyone other local forums/other cool shit i can check out... first time to hawaii so i'm pretty stoked...

Oh, SNAP! Oahu LUV and Pacific Jungle are taking over Fashion 45. Most of you know that it's a commercial club that plays top 40s hip hop and pop music for the sheeple. Makes you jealous when you think that crap gets played on the big cans (speakers) that a commercial club can afford.

Well, on Christmas day, or night rather, we're taking over and those hip hop sounds are going to be replaced by progressive house, trance and Drum n Bass played by yours truly and joined by Loic Tambay and several Pacific Junglists.

It's a chance to get our dance on at an upscale venue. Let's not miss out on it.

I have had several concerns regarding the 21+ entry at Bomshelter this Saturday.

I am sorry about the 21+. I wish it could be different, but the owner/caretaker at BS would not allow us to have the event if we allowed 21 and under. The unfortunate thing about our culture is that legally and socially the conventional bullshit idea is that somehow when people turn 21 they become responsible individuals. This is untue. I know plenty of 21+ assholes and I know a few people under 21 that are quite responsible.

Here is the truth of the Bullshit:
1. Parties busted with under 21 crowd and alcohol consumption can get slammed hard. (undcerage drinking, aiding and abetting the deliquency of minors, etc.)

2. An accident involving someone under 21 is a tragedy and people want "answers". Over 21 is commonplace and no one cares.

3. 21 and under gets labeled as "Rave" party. Somewhow this term implies kids on drugs, a horrific concept to the moral majority.

During the last Bombshelter party a met quite a few under21 peeps, that are super-cool. You will be the future of electronic music on this island. Keep on bumping please!

If any of you guys can figure out a means in which to alleviate these concerns I'd like to discuss, b/c I'd been interested in facilitating any positive movements for people of all ages.
